They will need a note explaining why they have missed the class and it will be excused which will give them 2 days to turn in the work they have missed. If they cannot present a note they will only have one day to turn in the homework they have missed. It is the student’s job to ask a fellow classmate what they have missed.

*The students will be working on their Wiki pages and using the internet as a resource.They will also have to list the resources that they used to help develop their nutrition plan.

They will have the opportunity to discuss what they feel this article is about and any key points from the article as a group.Once they have talked about the article as a group and asked any questions that they may have, they will then be put with a partner that I have chosen.They will be chosen by counting off by twos at their table and four and the ones will be together and twos together as well.They will have to create their own food pyramid that is blank with their partner to see how much they know before doing any research for their Wiki page. (See attached handout of food pyramid).They will be provided with a handout that lists some discussion topics and also resources that they will be able to use while doing research for their Wiki page. They will be able to explore the links by themselves and then share ideas with their partner.They will also have the opportunity to talk to their partner about how they will be completing their Wiki pages. Students will be evaluated by following the checklist that has been provided. The checklist will outline exactly what needs to be put on the Wiki page and clearly explain what their expectations are. If they student do not complete their Wiki page with the class time provided, they will discuss with their partners how they will be able to finish it for the following class period.They will need to go over their checklist that night and make sure they have complete what needs to be completed for the next class.There will be time provided to make sure that the students have any questions are answered about completing their Wiki pages and that they need to be completed for the following class.They will also be informed that the next class will be focusing on physical fitness.
